Beetle Cat Restoration
Ten Tuesdays, January 7- March 10, 2020
5:30 – 7:30 pm
Assist in the restoration of a 12-foot Beetle Cat, including removing and replacing trim, re-doing the canvas deck, stripping and refinishing spars, cleaning, painting, etc. No experience required. Maximum of 6 students.
Fee is per class session: $20 for members/$25 for non-members. Ten percent discount if you purchase all 10 class sessions in advance (however, no refunds for any missed classes). Materials and tools provided.
Community Boat Building
Over the course of eight weeks, learn to build a small row-boat, known as a Sabotina pram. No experience required. Maximum of 4 students. Fee: $250, materials and tools included.

Marine Mammal Strandings: Rescue & Research

Join us for an informative lecture about marine mammal strandings on and around Cape Cod. IFAW’s team not only leads rescues but conducts on-going research to ensure the safety and preservation of the creatures that make the sea their home.
Presented by Brian Sharp of IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare). Light refreshments.

Join us for a weekend of all things shellfish!
Friday, Feb.14, 5:30-7:30—Come by for light refreshments and the opening of our new exhibit, “Shellfishing Cape Cod.”
Saturday, Feb. 15, 10:00-4:00—Free Admission! Bring the family to “Shellfishing Cape Cod” and our other great exhibits
From 10:00-12:00, take our family shellfish craft workshop (Fee TBA—please call or email for details).
Saturday, Feb. 15, 4:30-6:30—Join us for the Shellfish Bash and Hash fundraiser! Beer and wine, chowder, seafood hash and raw bar. Tickets $25. Your ticket helps support museum programs throughout the year.
Sunday, Feb. 16, 2:00-4:00—Join us for a panel discussion with experts from a variety of local shellfishing organizations. Learn about aquaculture and the importance of shellfish to a healthy Cape Cod ecosystem and economy. Fee: $10/members; $15/non-members.
