COMING SOON: Behind the Scenes of Olympic Sailing: Stories from Rio to Tokyo with Tom Duggan March 20, 2025

Tom Duggan has been involved in Olympic Sailing since the 2004 US Olympic Trials. He was in charge of Laser Class and Laser Radial Class Sailing at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and was the Principal Race Officer in charge of all sailing at the Rio 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. He was the Principal Race Officer in charge of all sailing at the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games. Through stories, photos, and video, he has an entertaining view of how things run behind the scenes at the Olympics and something he never asked for on his resume: how to run the Olympics during a pandemic.

 

The Sandwich Glass Museum March 6, 2025

Olivia Padula, Curator of Collections at the Sandwich Glass Museum, shared the story of the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company, from its beginnings in 1825 to its closing in 1888. This talk covered everything from the artistic to the technical processes of making glass, many of which are still used today.
