HISTORY ON TAP: CAPE COD’S LOST LIGHTS

  • Cape Cod Maritime Museum 135 South Street Barnstable, MA, 02601 United States (map)

The Cape and Islands have been home to more than 30 lighthouses over the years, many of which have become cherished landmarks, community symbols, and even iconic logos. But what happens when no one steps in to care for these silent sentinels of the sea? When they grow obsolete or slip into disrepair, their stories risk being forgotten. For the final 2025 History on Tap installment, Cape Cod Maritime Museum’s own Collections and Exhibits Manager, Sam Notick, tells the stories of Cape Cod's Lost Lighthouses.

Part of our History on Tap series—join us for an evening of local history, conversation, and craft brews.
