HISTORY ON TAP: SOLO CHASING MY DREAM

  • Cape Cod Maritime Museum 135 South Street Barnstable, MA, 02601 United States (map)

SPECIAL MONDAY NIGHT PROGRAM. REGISTER NOW!! THIS WILL SELL OUT QUICKLY

What does it take to follow a dream you’ve carried since childhood - alone, across oceans, and around the world?

Join Sigrid Greven, a Belgian solo world sailor, as she shares the powerful, deeply personal story of her ongoing voyage around the globe aboard SY Lucky Bitch. After leaving her home port in 2011, Sigrid has sailed thousands of miles chasing a dream she first imagined at age eight - and that journey has brought her, for now, to Cape Cod.

In this one-hour illustrated talk on Monday, March 23rd, Sigrid weaves together adventure, sailing, and self-discovery. Through striking images and honest storytelling, she explores themes of courage, fear, choice, freedom, trust, and what it truly means to live a fulfilled life. Expect moments that are funny, frightening, and deeply reflective - as well as glimpses into other cultures, relationships, solitude, and the unexpected inner voyage that unfolds when you dare to leap.
