Bring your group to the Cape Cod Maritime Museum for an engaging, hands-on day of learning and exploration!

Our field trip programs run Monday–Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM. If your group requires a shorter visit or has timing constraints, just let us know — we’re happy to adjust the schedule to fit your needs.

Daily Overview

Students begin their visit with an interactive, museum-wide scavenger hunt, solving riddles and uncovering clues as they explore our exhibits.

They then rotate through hands-on, station-based activities that introduce four maritime career paths: marine biology, engineering, conservation, and ecology. Each station gives students the chance to learn by doing, encouraging curiosity and problem-solving.

To round out the day, we offer one of two closing lessons depending on student age:
• A discussion on marine conservation, microplastics, and simple actions we can take to protect our oceans
• A maritime fact-versus-fiction session, where students debunk popular myths from maritime history

Pricing
• $5 per student
• Public and private schools: 2 educators attend free; additional chaperones are counted in the student total
• Homeschool groups: 1 parent per family attends free; additional adults are counted
• Special-needs groups: all essential chaperones attend free

Ideal Group Size
Our program works best for groups of 6–30 students. Due to the size of our facility, we cannot accommodate more than 30 students per session. For groups larger than 15, students will be split into smaller groups to rotate through activities comfortably and safely.

We can arrange lunch and snack breaks throughout the day as needed.
