Join Aubrey Church as she explores Cape Cod’s original Blue Economy—commercial fishing—and its vital role in the region’s continued success. how you can take an active role in supporting the fishing community. Church, policy director at the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance, will discuss why a group of fishermen started the advocacy organization in 1991 and how more than 30 years later the member-led group is involved in economic development, scientific research, fisheries management and public education to make sure local fisheries are not just a vital part of the Cape’s past and present, but future.
